alotta Salataaaa & a full apartment

So within the next few weeks I am going to be sharing a little bit of the wedding one blogpost at a time. This one will focus on the entire wedding week meeting up until the wedding!

Countless trips to the airports & constant driving back and forth is how this week started...

It started with myself picking up my mom from the airport, followed by Amber (my middle sister), followed by picking up Angie (my non-biological adopted big sister, hehe), followed by picking up Jillian and Celestyn (my two best friends from college/bridesmaids). Mean while Emily (bridesmaid & basically my little sister) & and her mom (basically my second mom) flew in and got a rent a car to take them back. Then Carrie (my oldest sister) flew in Wednesday which we all picked up on the way to my bachelorette party/day adventures. We all were packed up in my apartment and staying there for the week.

Also, just a little tip for anyone who lives in an apartment and has 7 people living in there for a little bit... make sure you call maintenance to turn up your water heater ;)

To sum up our week together, we went to Salata a lot. For those of you who do not know about Salata, it is basically the chipotle of salads and wraps, or a frozen yogurt place for salads and wraps. It is incredible and definitely a favorite to all guest who visit Evan and myself in Texas. So anyone ever visiting Houston, make sure you go to a Salata and pray they build one near you!

We visited countless restaurants because when in Houston that is a must. Houston is known for their amazing food so taking them to as many yummy places was a necessity.

Wednesday we started the day by picking up Carrie from the airport. We then drove to the Kimah Boardwalk which is just a really cool boardwalk with yummy restaurants and what not. We got lunch there and after that we went home and took a nap.

The Rodeo was going on at the time everyone was here, so we all went to the Rodeo that evening and went to the Brantley Gilbert concert afterwards.

Also, one morning I got breakfast with my dad at Ihop one last time before I was a Mrs :) We had such a sweet time.

On to the Bachelorette Party/Day...

We went to dinner at the Grand Lux Cafe, which was soo good! Then went to the water wall and got drenched by the water, which was so fun but we may or may not have looked like wet dogs afterwards. THEN!.. we went to one of my favorite places in Houston, The Chocolate Bar! Which is not really a bar, it is just a place full of anything you can think of chocolate, cheesecake, ice cream and more! My sisters did an awesome job at planning my evening full of surprises!

The next day was rehearsal dinner, we woke up and got breakfast at one of my favorite breakfast spots, Adair Kitchen. Highly recommend it! Then we spent a few hours getting pampered at the nail salon getting pedicures and manicures! Later on the rehearsal dinner happened and it went by so fast! Future brides, not only does your wedding fly by in the blink of an eye, but so does the rehearsal and dinner!

My wedding week was nothing less than amazing. Having my family & best friends all here was a dream come true and such a blast!
