We're Pregnant!!

Baby #2 is cooking away and due Mid October and we could not be more excited!

 We found out we were pregnant February 1st. We are so very blessed to have been given this precious life and to be entrusted to raise another little human for the Lord. Our hope is that we can raise this child to know and love the Lord.

 We had our 12 week check up this morning in hopes of a new picture but sad day, we didn't have an ultrasound. So here is our old ultrasound, this was 5 weeks ago. Baby is much bigger now, the size of a plum!

"Train up a child in the way he should go;
    even when he is old he will not depart from it." - Proverbs 22:6

"Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
    the fruit of the womb a reward." - Psalm 127:3

I am currently 12 1/2 weeks along and so far pregnancy has been going pretty well. Let me first start off by saying I absolutely LOVE being pregnant. The Lord has blessed me with awesome pregnancies (insert praise hands again). I love the belly and almost everything about being pregnant. I say "almost" because I could go without the extra weight gain, the swelling of my face, ankles, and fingers, and the carpal tunnel.

The only bump in the road I have had this go around is that my doctor had to put me on progesterone because my levels were too low in the beginning. Well, I took it up until 10 weeks until I ran out and I just assumed I was done. Well apparently I needed to take it till 12 weeks and get a refill. Whoops! Needless to say I was so sick once I got off the progesterone. Severe headaches, crying in bed, and throwing up everything I ate every night. This was the worst timing because it happened the few days before I flew to Virginia with Carden by myself. Each day I got better and it only lasted maybe a week. With that being said, it was awful but now I feel normal again. PTL.

Another difference from Carden's pregnancy to this one is that my acne amount is normal, with Carden I got a lot of acne. Also, I am craving like light/healthy foods, which with Carden I was eating almost everything [except Mexican] (sad day).

 When people say you show sooner with your second child, they weren't kidding. I am so glad we finally announced because I don't think I can hide this baby bump any longer!

We are so excited, and we cannot wait to be a family of four and watch Carden be a big brother to another little boy or a sweet girl! Thanks for following along with our little family and with my pregnancy journey. I ask for your prayers as we go through this journey and prayers for another healthy baby!
